Our story
EmploymentConnect.com.au began as small as they come, a ten-year old entrepreneur with a vision for a local employment classified. That dream never left Joe Edington. In 2008, with technology moving on from printed media, he started a small job board website where local businesses could advertise work and connect with job seekers. As the world grew smaller thanks to advances in communications, his dream shifted:
Making the local job market global.
Joe had realised that for businesses to thrive in today’s economies, they needed access to skills from across the globe. As for job-seekers, being limited to finding work where you live drastically reduced the job pool. These didn’t have to be limiting factors. Something needed to be done.

Enter 2016, eight years after the inception of Joe’s first job board website, and EmploymentConnect.com.au is born. Partnering with his musician brother, Daniel, the skills and lessons learned from his past projects have come to fruition. Alongside global job sites Indeed.com and
Joe’s Story
Joe has been on this path since the age of 10. As one of fourteen kids, he learned early in life how hard it is to be noticed. In 1997, this passion led him into correspondence with the then heads of both major Australian political parties, John Howard and Kim Beazley, regarding the need to help the Australian workforce. When nothing came from this endeavour, he set out on his own. It is with thanks for the love and support of his father and dearly departed mother that he has gotten where he is today.
